A MAN in his sixties is accused of having almost 10,000 indecent images of children and more than 50 images of bestiality.
Andrew McGown, 62, appeared at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 17.
McGown was accused of making indecent photographs of a child – allegedly having 160 Category A images, 164 Category B images, and 9,655 Category C images.
These offences were dated between November 14, 2013, and May 12, 2022.
He indicated guilty pleas to the Class B and Class C offences.
McGown also faced a charge of possessing extreme pornography – involving a person performing oral sex with an animal – again between the same dates as the other offences.
He indicated he would be submitting a guilty plea for this offence.
McGown, of Tan Y Bryn, near Llandysul, will appear at Swansea Crown Court on June 7 for sentencing.
