A ROOFER has been warned all sentencing options remain open after admitting defrauding three sets of complainants of more than £20,000.
Danny McClelland, 30, of Cilcennin, appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday, May 9 accused of several counts of fraud between March and July 2021.
McClelland pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud – each against different complainants.
The first offence – between March 1 and July 31, 2021 – saw him defraud a complainant to the value of £14,750.
The second complainant was defrauded to the tune of £1,750 by McClelland on or around July 20, 2021.
McClelland also admitted a third offence of fraud against a third complainant – between April 14 and 19, 2021 – to the value of £4,100.
Recorder Simon Hughes adjourned McClelland's sentencing until June 6 for the completion of a pre-sentence report.
Addressing the defendant, he said: “You have pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud.
“These are serious counts. All options are being considered by the court.”
McClelland remains on bail.
