TWO people are due to face crown court judges accused of criminal damage and burglary.

Mercedes Hogsevedt, 32, of Penrheidol, Penparcau, and Jack Furness, 38, of the same address, will appear in front of crown court judges for the offences.

They were bound over by Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on March 22 for the offences.

Hogsevedt is charged with one count of criminal damage to property under £5,000 when she is alleged to have destroyed a planter on February 12, 2022, in Llandewi Brefi.

She is also charged with a count of burglary of a dwelling with intent to cause damage when she is alleged to have entered a property in Llandewi Brefi on February 12, 2022, as a trespasser with intent to do damage.

Furness is charged with the criminal damage offence stated above but also faces a second criminal damage charge relating to a bay tree and pot belonging to the neighbour of the initial victim.

He is also charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and a charge of exposing his genitals. Both charges relate to the same address and date as the initial criminal damage charge.

They have been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on April 19.
