THEATRE fans can see a National Theatre production from the comfort of a Cardigan cinema.
National Theatre’s Life of Pi will be screened at Mwldan on Thursday, March 30.
The performance was filmed live on London’s West End and features stunning state-of-the-art visuals for the Olivier Award winning stage show.
The piece is based on the best-selling novel Life of Pi by Yann Martel (2001) and was turned into a feature film in 2012.
The play has been in the West End since 2021. It features puppetry, magic and storytelling as you follow the life of 16-year-old Pi who is stranded on a lifeboat with four other survivors of the sinking of a cargo ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
The other four survivors are a hyena, zebra, orangutan and Royal Bengal tiger. Who will survive as time passes?
The adaptation was created by Lolita Chakrabarti and is directed by Max Webster.
Life of Pi by the National Theatre is being shown at Mwldan on Thursday, March 30 at 7pm. Tickets cost £12.50 or £11.50 and are available from www.mwldan.co.uk or by calling 01239 621200 between 12pm and 8pm Tuesday to Sunday.
