A Pembrokeshire community centre will be hogging the action this weekend when two sports clubs hope bring home the bacon from a race night with a difference.
The pig racing night at Canolfan Hermon will be held at 7.30pm this Saturday, March 25, and is in aid of Whitland Ladies Rugby and Hermon Ladies Tug of War.
"Remember to come along this weekend for some indoor pig racing," said the Centre's Cris Thomas.
"There will be plastic sheets put down on the wooden floor at the hall in Hermon and then plenty of straw on top of the plastic protection to absorb any animal accidents.
"Please be reassured that all the young pigs have been bred for racing and have individual vets who ensure that their pedigree is totally suitable for racing.
"Many of the thoroughbred pigs were taking part in the recent national pig races at CheltenHAM.
"So make it a night to remember and turn up to the indoor pig racing championship at Canolfan Hermon this Saturday night.
"Then anyone wanting to take home some manure for the garden please bring a shovel and plastic bags!".
All may not quite be as it seems, however - as Whitland RFC Ladies and Girls have stated on social media.
"Just for those wondering," they have posted, "the pigs are actually wooden, and not real little porkers!".
