SPOKEN word fans will be excited to hear of the line up planned for a Cardigan venue!
The Cellar Bards, the only regular spoken word event in Cardigan which is held at The Cellar Bar, will be hosting a number of guests throughout 2022.
Already confirmed are Gillian Clarke, the former National Poet of Wales, and celebrated poets Ness Owen, Julia Bell and Mari Ellis Dunning. There will also be a return of popular performer Dominic Berry.
Before all that, though, is a special performance to kick off the year. On Friday, February 10, Xavier Panades I Blas will be guest performer.
Xavier was born in Catalonia but lives and works in Swansea. He is a poet, actor and language activist who has spent the last two decades stunning audiences with his explosive performances.
His work is done in both Catalan and English.

His writing absorbs the reader and takes them on a journey of self-discovery.
Jackie Biggs, co-organiser of Cellar Bards, said: “We are looking forward to another great year of spoken word here in Cardigan and I can’t think of a better way to kick things off than one of Xavier’s stunning performances.”
