The Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership (CSP) are seeking views from residents on crime and disorder within the county through a public questionnaire.

The CSP consists of representatives from the police, Ceredigion County Council, the Fire and Rescue Authority, Health, and Probation services, as well as other invited organisations.

The Partnership’s role is to work together to protect local communities from crime and to help people feel safer.

Councillor Matthew Vaux, cabinet member for Partnerships, Housing, Legal and Governance and Public Protection, said: “The feedback we receive through this questionnaire will play a vital role in assisting our Community Safety Partnership identify current issues and potential future threats that may affect Ceredigion.”

Barry Rees, chair of the Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership and Ceredigion County Council corporate director, said: “Detailed analysis of multi-agency data and public opinion is imperative for gaining perspective on important issues like fear of crime, anti-social behaviour and drug or alcohol misuse.

"This will also help inform the effective allocation of resources and prioritisation of future activities.”

The questionnaire is open from midday today, January 31, until midday March 28.

The findings from this engagement exercise will be published on the Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership website in June 2023.

To support the Community Safety Partnership in keeping Ceredigion safe, residents may respond to the questionnaire online. 

A response form may be downloaded and returned by email or post to the address at the end of the form. Paper copies are available at all Ceredigion libraries, including the mobile library vans.
