A CEREDIGION road will be closed to traffic for around three months from the end of the month.
The B4334 Brynhoffnant will be closed for three months – or until work is completed – according to a public notice that Ceredigion County Council placed in the Tivyside Advertiser on January 17.
The notice states that the road will be closed from Monday, January 30 and will remain closed to all traffic for three months or until the ‘water service repairs’ are completed.

There will be an alternative route for traffic which is stated by the council as being: for south-eastbound traffic from a point north of the closure is to travel along the B4334 in a northerly direction to its junction with the A487T at Brynhoffnant. Turn right into the A487T and travel to its junction with the A486 at Synod Inn. Turn right into the A486 and travel to its junction with the B4571 at Ffosastrol. Turn right into the B4571 and travel to its junction with the B4334 at Penrhiwpâl. Turn right into the B4334 and travel to a point south-east of the closure.
It is a distance of 15 miles.
Pedestrian access will be maintained for the duration of the closure.
