Plans to redevelop a collection of former MOD buildings in Lampeter are peddling ahead.
Cadets may no longer meet at the Church Street building but it is soon to be brought back into use as a bicycle shop and cafe following the granting of planning permission by Ceredigion County Council planning officers.
The change of use application submitted in November 2021 was approved on September 1, after an extension to the planning decision process was agreed in June.
It details plans to convert and change the use of the existing MOD building, a meeting hall, into a retail unit for the sale, display and repair of bicycles to include an ancillary café and storage area.
This application is phase one of three relating to the site, with additional applications submitted relating to the conversion and change of use of the existing offices/lecture rooms into a two bedroom house and the demolition of existing buildings including workshops before a new workshop building is erected.
Phase three, the replacement workshop, has also been approved.
