Oh, what’s occurrin'?
Nessa Jenkins dropped by to visit The Plwmp Tart in Penbryn Beach this weekend.
Nessa, aka Ruth Jones MBE - the Welsh actress, comedian, writer and producer who co-wrote and co-starred in the award-winning BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey - arrived unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon.
She savoured a selection of the mouth-watering treats at the converted coachouse situated near to the beach front.
And while Ruth may not have been given one of Gwen West’s notorious omelettes to dip into, the selection on offer at The Plwmp Tart was ‘tidy’.
A native of Bridgend, Ruth is best known for her writing and acting skills as Nessa Jenkins in Gavin and Stacey which she co-wrote with James Corden.
But she has a strong loyalty with Ceredigion as her ancestors hailed from New Quay, where they were heavily involved with the shipping trade.
Plwmp Tart is run by Annabel and Darren Studley and prides itself on a selection of produce that has either been sourced from their own kitchen garden or from a variety of local producers.
