VILLAGERS from north Pembrokeshire are organising a fundraiser for the people of Ukraine by purchasing a large number of Ukrainian flags.
Residents of Hermon are asking £10 for a flag which provides just over £5 towards fund-raising for Ukrainian citizens enduring the horrors of invasion and war.
People have already been donating more than £10 while purchasing the flags and villagers have already raised a number to demonstrate their support for those suffering as a result of the Russian invasion.
Fund-raising co-ordinator Cris Tomos said: "We wanted to quickly raise money and send funds to Ukraine to ensure medical and food supplies reached the areas badly affected by the bombings and missile strikes.
“We are fortunate to be able to double the level of fund-raising via the SumUp Ltd Ukraine Campaign scheme."
Flags will be available for purchase at the community hall - Canolfan Hermon -this Saturday from 9am-12 noon during an energy advice drop-in coffee morning open to the general public.
To reserve a flag please contact Cris on 07974099738.
