The National Trust in Ceredigion is delivering half-term activities with its own unique twist this year.
At their estate in Llanerchaeron, just outside Aberaeron, the team is inviting children to step back in time via an enchanted and very traditional storytelling event.
Welsh storyteller Peter Stevenson, who is the man behind Aberystwyth Storytelling Festival, will join in the half-term fun on Wednesday, October 27 from 11.30am to 2.30pm at the centuries-old house.
Peter will share tales of three very wise women who lived in the area in days gone by. That includes, of course, Mari Berllan Biter, who legend has it could turn herself into a hare.
A special trail invites children to collect charms to protect them from Mari’s spell.
With ducks on the lake, picnic tables in the courtyard and walled gardens full of Autumn fruit and colour, this is a lovely place to savour the season.
Special events are free, normal admission charges apply.
