Hywel Dda Health Charities has launched a new charity lottery to raise funds for the NHS in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire - offering the chance to win a weekly £25,000 jackpot.
For just £1 a week, players could be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000, while helping to raise funds to make a positive difference to Hywel Dda’s NHS patients, service users and staff.
Hywel Dda Health Charities’ Fundraising Manager, Tara Nickerson, said: “We are pleased to be launching our charity lottery, in partnership with www.unitylottery.co.uk, which will give our communities the chance to win up to £25,000 a week, while also raising funds to support our work.
“The proceeds of our charity lottery will be used to support and enhance the NHS services provided by Hywel Dda University Health Board, above and beyond what the NHS can provide, for example funding for the most up-to-date medical equipment, additional patient comforts, and staff learning, development and wellbeing.
“Health board staff will be invited to submit bids at regular intervals so that the proceeds of the lottery can fund a variety of improvements across the Hywel Dda area.
“By supporting our lottery, our communities will help us provide the little extras that make a big difference.”
Players are allocated a unique six-digit lottery number, which will remain theirs for as long as they wish to keep playing.
Every Friday, a number is drawn at random. If 3, 4, 5 or all 6 digits are matched in the correct place in the sequence, then you’re a winner!
Match six digits and the weekly prize jackpot is £25,000. Match five digits to win £1,000 or four digits to win £25. And a 3-digit match gives five free entries into the next draw.
Lucky winners don’t even need to claim. They are sent their prizes automatically.
