PICTURED are members of the Cardigan committee of Cancer Research UK, Pamela Griffiths, Ann Thomas, Llinos Twigg and Sian James with Cllr Clive Davies and Myra Davies, Mayor and Mayoress of Cardigan, all of whom participated in Cancer Research’s campaign in March. Also pictured are some of the walkers who took part.
This involved walking, jumping, dancing or jogging at least 10,000 steps on every day of the month of March, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
There were 24 participants in total from the Cardigan community and further afield, with some from afar as Neath and South Pembrokeshire. An online giving page was produced with a target of £2,000 set.
Cllr Clive Davies said, “Like many in our community, cancer has touched my family and thanks to the generosity and support of the community and surrounding areas an amazing sum of £7,410.20 was raised for research into a number of different cancers.
“This very greatly appreciated by the committee. Diolch o galon i bawb am eich cefnogaeth.”
