A CAR that had travelled all the way from Northampton to west Wales yesterday (Saturday, May 10) was stopped twice in a matter of hours by traffic police in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
The occupants had gone out ‘for a spin’ when they were initially stopped and reported for non-essential travel during the current coronavirus lockdown restrictions in Carmarthen and soon after the process was repeated in Pembrokeshire.
Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit also stopped car containing five plus the dog which was on the way to Saundersfoot for a “walk on the beach” from Warwickshire.
They were all reported and instructed to return home.
Two people from Birmingham said they thought they would go to the beach after picking up a parcel. Unfortunately, that parcel was in the Worcester area. Both were reported for non-essential travel, vehicle turned around.
