A MEETING will be held to coordinate 100th anniversary commemorations of World War One in 2014.
Councillor Paul Hinge, Ceredigion County Council Armed Forces Champion, is calling a meeting at Ceredigion Council Offices in Penmorfa, Aberaeron at 6pm, October 28.
All groups, associations, universities, colleges, schools, town and community councils, scouting and guiding associations, St John's Ambulance, and all three armed forces cadet associations in the county are invited.
The meeting aims to draw together planned events to help create a county diary of events during this commemorative period.
Cllr Hinge said: “I have already been approach by some interested parties and feel that a coordinated approach to this is the best way forward so everyone knows what others intend doing.
“As the Armed Forces Champion I shall only play a facilitating role in bringing together organisations and individuals so a coordinated and well publicised calendar of events can be drawn together.”
Anyone wishing to attend is asked to notify Cllr Hinge by 5pm on October 25, email paul.hinge@ceredigion.gov.uk or call 07870826252 and leave a message.
