POLICE in Ceredigion are reminding motorists not to leave valuables on display inside vehicles.
The ‘Vulnerable Vehicle’ initiative is aimed to help members of the public combat auto-crime by reminding car owners not to leave any valuables on display in their car when it’s unattended.
In addition to gifts, desirable items such as Satellite Navigation equipment, mobile phones or a bag, present the perfect opportunity for car thieves to break in.
PC Steve Barry said: “Even though we have low crime in Ceredigion and the county is one of the safest places to live, we still need to use common sense.
“Please don’t leave anything of value on display in your car, even if you are only leaving it for a short while. Employing a few simple measures can help to deter would-be thieves and keep your property safe.”
