A POLICE investigation is ongoing into a late night incident in Cardigan at the weekend when two young men fell into the River Teifi.
It is understood that following an altercation between the two, one of them local and the other a foreign national, both fell into the river between the footbridge and Prince Charles Quay on Saturday night.
After the alarm was raised coastguards, Cardigan RNLI, fire service and police were alerted and one of the men was pulled out of the water and assessed by paramedics before being released.
The other man is believed to have got out of the river and made his way home.
Anyone who has any information is asked to call Cardigan Police Station on 101.
