A CARDIGAN motorist caught speeding twice on the same day has been fined and had points imposed on his driving licence.
Michael Anthony John aged 29, of 22A Pwllhai, who was represented by Alan Lewis, pleaded guilty at Ceredigion Magistrates Court on two speeding charges, the offences committed on December 2 last year.
He admitted exceeding a 30mph speed limit in a Volkswagen Transporter at Carmarthen Road in Newcastle Emlyn when his speed was recorded as 36mph.
He further admitted travelling at 38mph in a 30mph zone on the A484 road at Cwmduad.
He was fined a total of £135 with £60 costs and £20 victim surcharge and six penalty points were imposed on his licence.
Two other charges of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence were withdrawn by Crown prosecutor Gerald Neave.
