Dear Editor,
Just noticed that the M.P for Ceredigion Mark Williams has so far voted in support of the gagging law. - a law currently being rushed through parliament. A law that I feel will make it difficult for ordinary people to speak up on issues that we care about.
I do hope that Mark has a change of heart when he gets another chance to vote against this gagging law wnen it gets voted for onagain on October the 8th.
Many charities are opposed to it, including Oxfam, the Royal British Legion and the R.S.P.B.
This bill seems to being rushed through without proper scrutiny, it would impose an intimidating cordon on all non-party political party political scrutiny, campaigning and free speech, a whole year before the next election, and would thus gag any debate, and these are are some of the reasons why I personally think it should be opposed, because I feel that in a healthy society, eveybody should be able to express their views.
