To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the his burger van being located at Tremain Richard Williams organised a ten mile sponsored walk from the lay-by to raise funds for Cardigan Cancer Care as a way of saying thank you for the support his family received when his wife, Heather, was receiving treatment at Glangwili. The event, with 50 to 60 walkers taking part, raised £4004-24 for the charity which was presented on Monday night to Enfys James, Anne Davies, Angela Evans and Helen Andrews.
The walk was sponsored by Delwyn Grifiths, E.L.Jones printers, Keith Davies, Ken Davies, Tesco, Castell Howell, Templeton Wines, Tivyside, Briscwm Eggs, Ferwig Community Council, Robert Davies Motors, Radio Ceredigion, John Davies Builder, Mark ‘Crugmor’ Davies, Keith Phillips Builder, Barry and Ed from Qinetiq, Enfys James, Cardigan Cancer Care and Mary Short. Also in the photograph are Tracy, Jess, Russ and Lowri Williams.
Rhiannon Allen won a £25 voucher for raising the most money.
