CEREDIGION is set to save £20k a year by stopping delivering waste collection calendars to every house in the county.
Cabinet members this week agreed to use its website to advertise the collections and issue a small amount of printed calendars to council offices and local noticeboards.
"We have to make savings of £8m a year and the calendars are one area where we have had complaints that sending them out to every household is a waste of money," said cabinet member Cllr Alun Williams.
But Cllr Lyndon Lloyd warned that elderly people especially did not use the internet.
"20 per cent of the county do not use computers," he said.
But leader Cllr Ellen ap Gwynn said local members would be issued with calendars to give to residents who needed them.
"Information needs to be easily accessible," she said.
