THE Disabled People Together Coalition and Ceredigion’s first Digital Forum for Ceredigion’s Disabled community was launched in Aberaeron last week.
The coalition is run by disabled people for disabled people, specifically those with physical, sensory, neurological impairments and long-term health conditions.
Disabled People Together has created a Digital Forum where disabled people can discuss the broad range of problems they live with and suggest possible solutions.
Quarterly meetings will be held between representatives of the coalition made up of individuals, or those representing disabled peoples organisations and other interested parties.
Paul Clasby, Co-chairman of Disabled People Together, said: “The creation of Disabled People Together in partnership with Ceredigion County Council, public bodies and third party organisations such as Housing Associations, Disability groups and Ceredigion's physically, sensory and neurologically impaired residents has created an exciting opportunity for change.
“For the first time, physically, sensory and neurogically impaired residents, students and visitors have the opportunity to raise concerns and be involved in redefining the services which affect our daily lives. If you are physically, sensory or neurogically impaired, help us to help you and other less fortunate residents of Ceredigion."
