DYFED-POWYS Police is offering residents of Newcastle Emlyn and the surrounding areas the opportunity to chat on a regular basis to a local Neighbourhood Policing Team representative.
The surgeries will enable members of the community to meet a member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team and share concerns and ideas regarding a variety of local issues.
Surgeries will be held each month in six different locations and the NPT team will be at each location for half an hour.
They will be held at the Catholic Church Hall, Newcastle Emlyn, 10am on the first Friday of the month; Capel Iwan Square, 11am, second Thursday of the month; Red Dragon Hall, Drefach Felindre, 2pm, third Wednesday of the month; Discount Stores, Pentrecwrt, 12.30pm, second Thursday of the month; Old Post Office, Saron; 2pm, first Thursday; Cenarth Chapel, 11am, third Friday of the month.
PC Ian Ayers, part of the team behind the initiative, said: “I hope that by offering these surgeries in-line with PACT meetings, we will see an increase in the number of people who attend. The surgeries have been designed to give people the chance to engage with Neighbourhood Police Officers in a private and informal setting. We want the residents of the town and surrounding areas to join us, and feel safe and confident in the service we provide.”
