As part of the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walks Campaign, 25 walkers went on a Newport Estuary and Town Guided Historical walk earlier this month. Led by Dr. Reg Davies, a prominent local historian, the route visited many archaeological and historic sites. The organisers, Grace Hagen, Susan Foster and Pamela Shipton were delighted that the walkers enjoyed the event and also raised £368.00 for the Alzheimer’s Society. This money will contribute towards the provision of local services for those living with dementia. Many thanks to all for taking part and for their generous donations.
