A 29-YEAR-OLD Cardigan motorist booked for speeding twice on the same day has also been charged with two offences of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
On December 2 last year Anthony John, of 22A Pwllhai, Cardigan, was alleged to have exceeded a 30mph speed limit when driving a Volkswagen Transporter at Carmarthen Road in Newcastle Emlyn at 36mph.
On the same day and in the same vehicle he was alleged to have exceeded a 30mph limit on the A484 road at Cwmduad when travelling at 38 mph.
When the case came up at Ceredigion Magistrates Court on Wednesday defence solicitor Alan Lewis said the defendant contacted his office that morning to say he was unwell and would not be attending court.
At the request of Mr Lewis the case was adjourned for seven days.
