Tai Ceredigion has launched a new project to help unemployed tenants get back into the workplace. The Employability Skills Day on September 17 will encourage individuals to realise their true potential and strengthen Tai Ceredigion's commitment to providing a brighter future for its tenants.
The full day workshop will give tenants coaching and support from experienced professionals to create and develop CVs, help with job searches interview techniques and increase motivation and confidence to market themselves to potential employers.
Catrin Owen, New Initiatives, Customer Services and Marketing Manager at Tai Ceredigion, is delighted with the interest already shown in the project.
She said: "We have identified the need and are now implementing a practical solution to help tenants from Tai Ceredigion's properties across the county to push themselves forward in the jobs market". "We have already worked with one of our contractors to offer work and training for tenants within our improvement programme to meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.”
Tenants interested in registering for the event should contact Rhiannon Phelps on 01570424329 or email tenants2work@taiceredigion.org.uk.
Places will be provided on a first come first served basis but if enough interest is shown, similar workshops will run in the near future.
