PLANS have been put on hold for an alcohol exclusion zone in Llandysul as anti-social incidents decrease.

PCSO Sian Davies told last week’s community council meeting that calls to the police had to be collated to start the process of setting up an exclusion zone.

She added there had not been many calls relating to people drinking on the streets recently.

Cllr Peter Evans said he had recently met with police representatives.

He said: “I was told things were not too bad in Llandysul. It’s good to hear that things are receeding.”

Chairman Tom Cowcher added that the council had not wanted to introduce an exclusion zone, but had to consider the possibility after a number of incidents in the village.

PCSO Davies added: “At the moment it seems to have quietened down.”
