PEMBROKESHIRE Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) has organised a free event for organisations and business working with children or vulnerable adults.
In partnership with CAVS, CAVO & PAVO, other regional county voluntary councils and the WCVA’s Criminal Records Unit, the event will provide an update on recent changes implemented by the Disclosure and Barring Service (which replaced Criminal Records Checks).
The event will be held in Letterston Memorial Hall, 1.30pm to 4pm, October 3 and will focus on the changes in legislation and the new ‘Update Service’ which enables individuals to keep their DBS certificate up to date online, allowing them to reuse their certificate for volunteering or working for different organisations.
To book a place or for further information contact Caroline White on 01437 769422 or email caroline.white@pavs.org.uk.
