CADAMM members cut an excellent crop of black oats in the old traditional way with John Evans on CADAMM's Albion Binder and Ken Symmons with his own Fordson Major tractor at Bryncws St Dogmaels.

"The sheaves were then made into stooks by CADAMM members and friends. A stook is 4 sheaves stacked together for at least 2 weeks, so as to dry out before building into larger ricks (mows - teisi neu dasau yn Gymraeg). Anyone interested in seeing this done at a later date, on Tuesday 24 September, weather being favourable, please contact CADAMM's secretary Mike on 07896805675 or Chairperson Enid on 07846989590.

"Weather permitting, CADAMM members will also have another binder/corn cutting session and stooking at the Shire Horse Farm, Eglwyswrw between 3-5pm today, Tuesday 10th September. A BBQ will then follow at 6pm prior to CADAMM's monthly meeting at 7.30pm.

"The 8th October meeting is a visit to K.P. Thomas' museum in Kilgetty. New members welcome.
