REGULARS at a Cardigan public house are pulling out all the stops to raise money for a local cancer charity.
Customers at the Hope & Anchor in the town centre are taking part in various events over a month in aid of Cardigan Cancer Care.
The fund-raising got underway last Saturday when six tipplers attired in fancy dress completed a sponsored walk from Crymych to Cardigan which is expected to raise in excess of £1,000.
The six walkers were Jamie Lewis, Nia Williams, Chris James, Clare Thomas, Kevin ‘Council’ Phillips and Tony Morris.
This Sunday a sponsored waxing and Pub Olympics are being held at the hostelry and there are other ventures in the pipeline, including a quiz, horse racing night and Name the Teddy competition.
Pub landlady Helen Lewis told the Tivy-Side “Cardigan Cancer Care does great work locally and the customers decided to show their appreciation.”
