A NEWCASTLE Emlyn man is to stand trial accused of preparing to deal in heroin.
Steffan Rhys Owen, aged 52, appeared before Judge Paul Thomas at Swansea crown court on Friday for a plea and case management hearing.
He admitted possessing a quantity of heroin on December 17 last year but denied he intended to supply it to others.
Owen also admitted the simple possession of diazepam on the same date.
Owen, of Castle Green, Pentrecagal, will face a one day trial on October 7.
He was granted bail meanwhile.
