A runaway 43-3 win over basement boys New Dock Stars in Llanelli kept Cardigan in the Division 4 West promotion race three points behind leaders Llanybydder.
It has to be said that Stars, now without a point from eight outings, were woefully weak, but that was not the Cardis' problem, and a further maximum points haul made it seven wins on the bounce for Colin Davies and Co.
Playing into a strong wind during the opening 40 minutes the visitors crossed for a couple of tries, and after change of ends stashed 33 points without reply.
Clark Jones hoisted an early penalty for Stars, but Cardigan responded with a cracking try by prop Richard Jones after the spadework was done by skipper Davies and outside half Michael Diggle.
The second touchdown for the visitors came three minutes before the interval when impressive scrum-half Phillip Leighton launched a blindside assault.
Centre Rhodri Evans hoisted a penalty for Trim, but it was nowhere near enough with the wind at their backs.
Early in the second period Steffan Williams ran in for the visitors' third try, and he converted the score before influential centre Dafydd Evans broke through for a try.
Skipper Davies bagged a try brace and centre Evans got his second touchdown of the game as Stars were run ragged.
On Saturday the Cardis host Tenby United before the long awaited clash with Llanybydder the following weekend.
