BLACK RAT Productions presents the classic farce Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti at Mwldan, Cardigan on Friday, October 18, 7.30pm.

The breathtakingly funny Boeing Boeing is set in the swinging 1960s and features Bernard as its 'hero'. Living the dream life with a stylish apartment in Paris, Bernard successfully juggles three gorgeous air stewardess fiancées, each unaware of the others.

Turbulence hits Bernard’s perfect life when his friend Robert comes to stay. Weather-delayed flights and a new, faster Boeing jet send his busy love life into chaos. Soon all three stewardesses are grounded in Paris and poor Robert struggles to remember which lies to tell to whom, and pandemonium ensues.

Boeing Boeing is directed by Richard Tunley and features a talented cast including Hannah Whittingham, Gareth Bale (Oedipus, Romeo & Juliet, Bouncers and Up ‘n’ Under) , Julie Barclay, Laura Clements, Richard Horgan and Sarah Jayne Hopkins.

The English language adaptation, translated by Beverley Cross, was first staged in London atthe Apollo Theatre in 1962 and transferred to the Duchess Theatre in 1965, running for a total of seven years. Revived in London in February 2007 at the Comedy Theatre , it once again proved to be a hit with critics and audiences alike.

In 1991, the play was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world.

Boeing Boeing is a Black RAT Productions and Blackwood Miners' Institute co-production in association with RCT Theatres and supported by Arts Council Wales.
