OCTOBER is the last chance to see exhibitions of Kaffe Fassett’s work in West Wales.
Kaffe Fassett, international renowned textile designer best known for his colourful designs in the decorative arts, has his knitware currently exhibited at the National Wool Museum, Drefach Felindre, with free entry, along with an exhibition of his quilts at the Welsh Quilt Centre, Lampeter. Both exhibitions will end on Saturday, November 2.
Kaffe Fassett along with his partner from the Kaffe Fassett Studio in London, Brandon Mably, have held workshops and lectures at the National Wool Museum and at the Welsh Quilt Centre over the summer and are touring North America this autumn, giving lectures and workshops before their Singapore, New Zealand and Australia tour in the new year.
Ann Whittall, Manager of the National Wool Museum said: “Many who have already visited the exhibitions have grown up with Kaffe Fassett as a household name, he has and still does inspire people across the world with his colourful work in fabric, knitting, needlepoint, patchwork, painting and mosaic. Another month and his collections will be on their way back to London.”
From October onwards the museum reverts to winter hours, and will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
