HAVERFORDWEST Operatic Society presents its autumn production, featuring a performance of Sullivan’s comic opera ‘The Zoo’ on October 5 at Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard, at 8pm.
‘The Zoo’ opened just three months after the very successful ‘Trial by Jury’, and includes some of Sullivan’s most attractive music. Like ‘Trial by Jury’ the opera is in one act, without spoken dialogue. The farcical story concerns two pairs of lovers and contains touches of Victorian melodrama with a suitable happy ending.
The programme will also include medleys from popular musicals.
Tickets are £6 and can be reserved at the Theatr Gwaun Box Office.
