TWO of Welsh music’s brightest original talents have teamed up for an eight date tour of Wales and England and come to Theatr Mwldan on October 11 at 7.30pm.
Paper Aeroplanes comprise the song-writing and musical talents of Sarah Howells and Richard Llewellyn both from West Wales. Their most recent album release “Little Letters” was for the prestigious Navigator label in May. Reviewers have been tumbling over themselves to find new superlatives to describe this work.
Paper Aeroplanes have been greatly championed by BBC Radio Wales and earlier this year were one of the key artists featured in their annual Music Day.
Something that unites Paper Aeroplanes to troubadour Martyn Joseph is that they are both unafraid to confront and explore issues within their song-writing. Martyn has just released “Songs for the Coming Home” which further demonstrates his abilities to capture a feeling, a response and to evoke in the listener that comfort that they are not alone.
With both these performers being superb communicators the audience is assured of a musically uplifting evening – one that will live long in the memory.
Tickets to see Martyn Joseph and Paper Aeroplanes are £13 (£12 concessions, £3 Mates Rates scheme (11-18yr olds), available from Mwldan’s Box Office on 01239 621200, online at www.mwldan.co.uk, or via smart phones by visiting mwldan.ticketsolve.com/mobile.
