THE brand new hall at Caerwedros will be officially opened during a weekend of events following completion of work this week.
There will be a full programme of events on September 27 and 28, including a Noson Lawen event on Friday and the Official Opening Ceremony on Saturday.
The Carreg Lafar/Talking Stone, created by renowned sculptor Ben Dearnley, will also be unveiled.
Many classes are planned for the hall this term, including excercise for the 50+, Zumba, Yoga, Digital Photography, Welsh classes, Mixed Media Collage, Capoeira, Ceramics, and many groups and societies are booked in, which will ensure a full programme of events for the coming year.
The hall will be opened by David Adams of Cardiff at 2pm on September 28, and the opening ceremony will host stalls by local groups, afternoon tea and a change to socialise.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Noson Lawen, 7.30pm on September 27, will feature local talent, with Ifan Jones Evans from S4C and BBC Radio Cymru, Bois y Gilfach, CFFI Caerwedros, Awelon, Ysgol Bro Siôn Cwilt, and Morys Ioan.
There will also be entertainment from Sarah Lloyd, Ben Dearnley, Lynn Parr, Megan Teleri, Mari Mathias,Sara Louise and Jano Evans.
Admission is £5, senior school pupils £3, and under 12s free.
