TEIFI Valley artist Eloise Govier launched her artwork 'Ticker-Tape: Levitate' at Hereford Art week this week to rave reviews. The piece consists of 150 brightly coloured 'levitating' bricks and marks a new venture for the artist into the realms of sculpture. The work is the latest contribution to the Ticker-Tape series where artist creates temporary art at socially significant spaces, like playgrounds and housing estates. This piece was created on the the borders of Wales and England. The Expressionist painter describes the sculpture as 'painting with bricks' and says the landscape becomes a green canvas and the coloured bricks become daubs of paint.

Eloise remarks: "The levitating bricks are an optical illusion... I'm trying to give the audience that sense of glee when you see something wondrous in the flesh, something magical right before your very eyes."
