YOUNG chefs are invited to show off their culinary talents at one of Pembrokeshire’s premier food events.
The Young Chef competition at the award-winning Narberth Food Festival is calling for a starter or dessert using herbs or honey to be created by kitchen wizards aged from 17 to 26.
Entrants to the contest must be training to be, or working as a chef within 30 miles of Narberth.
This is the third year that the festival has staged the challenge. Last year it was won by 23-year-old Sam Jones of Ludchurch, training at The Grove, Narberth under Duncan Barham, with his Heritage Tomato Terrine.
Entry forms for the competition are available on www.narberthfoodfestival.com and must be returned by Friday September 27.
The two-day festival, on Narberth’s Town Moor, takes place on Saturday September 28 and Sunday September 29, and features more than 50 stalls, together with music and entertainment, taste talks and chef demonstrations.
