Small World Theatre is holding a Sustainability event on 21 September in partnership with Naturewise and other local groups and sponsored by Celtic Sustainables, to celebrate and highlight the good examples of sustainable projects and businesses that are growing in strength in Cardigan and the surrounding areas.

Jane Davidson, Director of INSPIRE at Trinity St Davids, will give a keynote speech on 'Embedding Sustainability into Education. Why is it important?' and also chair a panel discussion 'Community Ownership of our Energy Needs - Fracking Hell!' with distinguished panelists Professor Michael J. Hambrey, Emeritus Director, Climate Change Consortium of Wales (C3W) and Brian Mark, Sustainability & Renewable Energy advisor.

Small World Theatre is hosting this well-informed discussion, as it seems important to provide an opportunity to explore all sides of what has become an emotive issue recently. Contributions from the floor are welcomed.

Small World Theatre will be a base for information, stalls and displays by local projects, social enterprises and businesses. The day will include time to network and ask questions, and the ticket price of £5 includes a locally sourced lunch as well as a guided tour of Small World Theatre's sustainably built venue.

Completing the day on an upbeat note, Carys Hedd and the Co-Create team will present their upcyled clothing designs in a catwalk show representing local designers' labels Bé, Kaotik Kittus, Wench Wear, Glad Rags, Hemmed Again and Not too Shabby.
