Newcastle Emlyn Football Club relegated from the Welsh League Division Three after 14 seasons will play in the Costcutter Ceredigion League next season.
The club’s first team will compete in Division One with the reserves in Division Two and the club was to decide at its AGM this week whether to enter a team in the Reserves Cup (Division Three).
Pencader, who disbanded two seasons ago have been resurrected with teams in the Second Division and Reserves Cup next term.
At the league AGM Lampeter Town picked up the sporting award for division one, Llanboidy were the winners in Division Two and Ffostrasol came out on top in the Reserves Cup.
Top goal-scorer in Division One was Trevor Woodgate of St Dogmaels with 22 strikes, Gethin Davies of Saron was leading marksman in the Second Division with 31 goals and the Reserves Cup award was shared between Dafydd Wicks of Newcastle Emlyn Thirds and Emyr Davies of Llanboidy Reserves with 16 goals apiece. The awards were presented by Central Wales FA secretary David Hinton-Jones and league life member Joe Latter of Llanpumsaint.
The season in Division One starts on Tuesday, August 19 with the Second Division kicking off the following day. There will also be fixtures for first and second division clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday August 26-27 with a full league programme on Saturday, September 7.
